Is This Job For You?
Thank you for your interest in working for Lugals Integrated Services. Before taking the time to complete the application and interview for the Event Staff Position, we want to tell you what it is like to work for Lugals.
An Event Staff Member’s duties may vary widely, as Lugals strives to continue providing the highest level of service our clients and guests have come to expect. The services Lugals provides involve constant contact with the public in a dynamic environment, which requires heightened integrity, honesty, situational awareness, focus on job tasks, and the ability to communicate clearly and calmly in potentially stressful situations. Lugals employees may be called upon to protect and secure venue guests from harm, deal with at-risk and/or vulnerable guests, and to protect and secure personal items and property.
As a Team Member, you should be aware that many Lugals Work Shifts occur on holidays and/or weekends. Lugals’ Work Shifts may extend later in the evening than those of other types of jobs.
As a Team Member, you may be required to:
- Walk up and down stairs and stand in one place unassisted for 8 or more hours.
- Deal with disorderly or impaired guests while demonstrating professionalism and patience in challenging public situations.
- Work outside in hot, cold, and/or rainy conditions, depending upon your assignment.
- Be assigned a post which may not give you a view of the event, show, or game.
Professional appearance is an important part of the Lugals Event Staff image. During orientation, you will be given a dress code. Upon arrival at the event, you will be assigned a Lugals shirt or jacket, which you are required to wear properly and in its entirety. As a member of our team, you will share our company’s goal of providing our guests with an impressive and consistent level of friendly, attentive, and responsive service. Event Staff Team Members are also sincere, positive, and dependable. You take your position seriously; you care about your work, and you act professionally.
Your important contribution will include:
- Initiating a sincere, friendly, and personal greeting to guests as they arrive at the venue entrance, aisle, concourse area, or other location.
- Being upbeat, alert, and attentive to your job — not appearing distracted or disinterested. Making full eye contact with a guest so the person knows you are giving them your full attention.
- Providing guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions which will enhance their entertainment experience.
- Offering a sincere “Thank you for coming,” “We are glad that you are here,” or “We appreciate you coming tonight,” as you complete your encounter with each guest.
- Smiling. Whether you speak or not, your warm and sincere smile will make every guest feel welcome.
- Using a normal speaking voice, with natural inflections and a friendly tone.
- Utilizing active listening skills to understand customer concerns.
- Maintaining composure and a solutions-oriented approach in potentially stressful situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques to work towards resolving conflict in a respectful manner.
- Fostering a culture of respect and understanding while upholding company policies and service standards.
The Event Staff position will provide you with valuable work experience, and the opportunity to be part of some of the entertainment industry’s most exciting events.
